"God can pour on the blessings in astonishing ways so that you're ready for anything and everything!"
This was the verse from 2 Corinthians 9:8 (Msg) that inspired us at the start of this term. We are so very grateful to God, and to all of you, that we can celebrate another year of His wonderful provision. We are indeed astonished at how God has made us ready with more creativity, income, opportunities, connections, schools and volunteers! Just like the wise men and the shepherds were invited to share in the Joy of Jesus' coming, we hope that this Christmas, you will share the joy we feel at God's faithfulness for the schools work He has called us to.
"It was an unremarkable kind of night. A night where the air felt silently still, as if along with the heavens, it was holding its breath and waiting for something to happen....
This is how the story starts in our 'Christmas Promise' assembly. Children consider how Mary, Joseph, and even the donkey, may have felt as they anticipated and wondered about the fulfillment of God's promise and what that would be. Of course, the answer is, 'It's Jesus!', the greatest Christmas gift EVER.
I suspect, this Christmas, there is much we are all deeply longing for. In the middle of such tumultuous times as these, it can sometimes feel like a long slog. Our hope for you this Christmas is that, along with all those who are waiting for the 'Perfect Day', we will with hopeful hearts keep looking for the coming King: in our churches, in our homes, in our streets, in our nation and in this world.

"May the God of hope fill you with all with joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit" (Rom 15:18).
