'A Writer's Reflection' - Emily Speed

As I’m writing this, I am aware we are only 6 episodes in so I’m sure there are more revelations to come but there is one thing that continues to amaze me. Each of the stories has spoken differently to different people. Where I initially saw Jesus being ‘the man who helps’ in the Wedding at Cana, others saw ‘the man who wants a really great party’. Whilst we focus on one element in each episode it is clear that each can inspire and teach us in different ways.
As someone who has grown up a Christian, the Gospels are something that are constantly referred to but even after years of re-reading them, I still discover new things about Jesus’ character and who He was when He walked the Earth as a man. This process has reminded me of the dynamic God we have who is everything we need at every point of life.
